"The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating yourself"

Where This Flower Blooms is a pop-up installation art exhibition in Durham, NC on May 4, 2019.

Where This Flower Blooms will take us to the root of our experiences. It will magnify the many ways we are catapulted toward growth and faced with a choice: ascension or stagnation.

When we share parts of ourselves that are intimate—our mistakes, our failures, experiences of trauma and emotional pain—we are not only sharing our own stories but we are relaying the stories of many others. Where This Flower Blooms invites an aching world to connect.

Every quarterly art exhibition we curate shines a light on the disadvantaged sectors in our community and the various organizations who are actively working to improve them. Where This Flower Blooms will act as one step toward dismantling the stigma around mental health in Black and Brown communities while highlighting the value of therapy. We want our audience to leave with the knowledge to educate others on these issues and to feel inspired to get involved in their community.
