Call for Visual Artists

Ends on September 21, 2018

**ALL PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS DO NOT HAVE TO BE OF COMPLETED WORKS**

Thank you for your interest in exhibiting your work with Perk + Niel! We are an independent art curatorial consultancy that highlights artists of color in the Raleigh-Durham area. Perk + Niel is now accepting submissions from artists in the Triangle Area.

We are showcasing our first official themed pop-up art exhibition--We Share the Sun: Human Connection to Celestial Bodies--in Durham, NC on November 3, 2018. We Share the Sun surveys human connection to celestial bodies by highlighting our intrinsic inquisitiveness. As humans, we possess an innate desire to understand more about ourselves. We recognize how much this theme resonates with current generations as many use astrology as a medium to aid in the quest to self-discovery.  Your natal chart and current celestial placements all serve as a way to explore your personality and examine self. Failure to embark on this journey will cheat us of the opportunity to understand who we are and what we want as well as our impact here on earth. We believe a greater knowledge of self elicits internal harmony and powerful transformations. We Share The Sun acts as a story of empowerment, generating introspection in all who attend. It is precisely our hope for our audience to walk away encouraged to further their understanding of self.

We Share The Sun depicts a universe where self-identification is mapped out in the sky.

We are selecting 10-15 visual artists
